Valdovinos, Olga

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

VALDOVINOS, Olga, age 71 of Richfield, MN. Died August 22nd, surrounded by family. Survived by her husband and love of her life – Sal, as well as her 5 children, 5 grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Olga personified selflessness in all areas of her life; from her career at H.I.R.E.D. to her unconditional love for her family. Born in Chile, she came for her Masters at the U of M, becoming a loving and beloved part of the Mankey family before starting a family of her own. As a mother, she embodied patience, tolerance, acceptance and unconditional love. “Mom”, you will be missed more than words can say. As a wife and companion, she was a true “soulmate” (and great cook). Her other great gift was in the garden, creating a place that captivated and represented her soul – no one will forget that garden and none of us will ever forget her. Throughout her life, at work and in her daily life, Olga made an impact and a true difference in the lives of colleagues, friends and strangers through her generosity of spirit, time, willingness to listen and to always do the right thing. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, August 27, 2009 ~ 10 AM at the Church of Christ the King, 5029 Zenith Ave. So. Interment – Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
