Age 90, joined his Father in Heaven October 21st, 2009. Preceded in death by mother, Viola. Survived by his beloved wife, Dee; children, Kathleen, Mary and Michelle; grandchildren, Alexandra, Britt, Caroline and Max, Sr. Ethel Dignan, BVM and “adopted” Malhotra Family. Mac’s high spirits, love and sense of humor will be greatly missed by many family, friends, fellow tennis members, church and choir friends and neighbors. Mac’s service to his country during WWII earned him the honored bronze star, just one of the heroic chapters of his well-lived life. His devotion to his family and his generous attitude towards all leave a legacy for us to tell his stories. A natural musician (and the best whistler), terrific salesman, energetic tennis player, enthusiastic traveler, gardener and snappy dresser, Mac truly celebrated the “dash” in his life – that is, the time between the date of his birth and the date of his death that appears in this obituary. 10/30/09 services at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 901 E. 90th St., Bloomington.
