Bunn, Doris Anita was born January 27, 1923, and passed away December 28, 2009. She was the youngest of nine child- ren born to John & Lyda Clough, and was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death, by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, one son, and her husband, Evan. Survivors include: one brother, Richard Clough (wife Norma); one sister, Elaine Swaney; five sons, John (wife Kathleen) Lakeville, MN; William (wife Edna) Norwood Young America, MN; James (wife Edith) Sheridan, WY; Thomas (wife Debra) Isabel, SD; Glen (wife Alice) Rosemount, MN; five daughters, Marcia Pedersen (Amund) Inver Grove Heights, MN; Susan Pekkala (Larry) Ridgefield, WA; Patricia Rosenlund (Ted) Lakeville, MN; Doris Foley (Richard) Dassel, MN; Barbara Blakeman, Eagan, MN; 69 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation and funeral services will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 5617 Rowland Road, Minnetonka, MN 55343. Visitation will be Wed. evening from 6-8 PM. Funeral will be on Thur., Dec 31 at 11 AM, with visitation one hour before.

Age 83, formely of south Minneapolis, died peacefully on December 28th, 2009 in Le Sueur, Minnesota.
Preceded in death by parents Theodor and Signe (Pearson) Mortenson; brothers Adolph and Gorden; sisters Nomie and Donna; and husband Francis. Survived by daughters and sons~in~law, Myrna and Roland Begin, Renee and Denny Franson; grandchildren Troy Franson and Michelle Franson; great grandchildren Alicia Franson, Jenna Hahn, and Haley Fahey; sister Lenore Morrissette; brothers Merlin, Kenneth, Laverne, and Romane Mortenson. Hulwi, William G

William G. age 98, of Naples, FL and Minneapolis, MN, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009, at his home in Naples. Bill was born on March 30, 1911 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Shukri and Mabel Hulwi. He was the youngest of six children, and at the age of three, his family moved to Minneapolis. Bill grew up in South Minneapolis and went to St. Stephen’s grade school. After graduation, he went to St. Thomas College for two years. Then he met and married Vivian Klingensmith in 1940. They have been married for 69 years. Bill was a musician and was the staff pianist for the WCCO Radio morning show for six years. He also played at the Nicollet Hotel for many of the famous celebrities such as: Liberace, Martin and Lewis, the Mills Brothers and many others. He also had his own orchestra and played the Country Club circuit. After he dissolved his orchestra in 1975, he played for private parties. Bill was preceded in death by his son, William G. Hulwi, Jr.; and his five siblings. Survived by wife, Vivian; and daughter, Pam Hulwi. Bill will always be remembered as a “true gentelman” and a loving and devoted husband and father. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 6730 Nicollet Ave. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. O’Hanlon, Wym Willow

Wym Willow O’Hanlon on December 27, 2009. Born in New York City on August 31, 1948. He moved with his mother to Minneapolis in 1951. He was only 3 years old. He and his mom moved to Hopkins and he attended Hopkins Jr. High. Because his mom worked at Mpls. School of Art, they moved to Mpls. (1952-1956). His mom changed jobs to H. W. Darr Associates (1956-1960). In 1960 Harold W. Darr Married his mom and they moved to Hopkins. During their honeymoon out west, Wym stayed with his maternal grandmother, Mrs. James D. Danielson in Stevens Point, WI. Wym lived in his first home from 1960-1971. Harold Darr died in 1967. His mom remarried in 1971 to Olin S. Lutes, Jr. Wym was 23 and played guitar beautifully for a living, mainly around 25th St. and Nicollet Ave. in Mpls. He attended the University of Minnesota for two years. He worked 19 years for a video company that eventually moved to Chicago. Wym got a job at a neighboring co., Rudolf Technologies. Wym spent two weeks each summer on the North Shore. His friends Tim Frandsen and Brad Larson will bring Wym’s cremated remains there for burial. No services are planned.

Marquardt, LaVerne O. age 93, of Edina. Survived by son, Thomas & wife Joyce of Plymouth; daughter, Kay Therrien and husband Joe of San Antonio, TX; son, James and wife Sheila of St. Paul; son, Gregg & wife Beth of Robbinsdale; 5 grandchildren & 3 great-granddaughters, Mitchell Marquardt, Scott (Cindy & Ella) Therrien, Chad (Kristy & Kayla) Therrien, Melissa (Jason & Jenna) Brommerich and Samuel Marquardt. Preceded in death by husband of 61 yrs., Richard Marquardt. At age 66, earned a B.A. from the University of St. Catherine. Homemaker as well as maker of pottery, sculpture, and paintings. O’Reilly, John T. “Jack” age 82 of South Minneapolis. On December 25, 2009, he joined his beloved wife of 56 years, Lori, who passed away on 12/16/08. Also preceded in death by parents, J. Edward and Ann O’Reilly. Gregg, Jack ReVille Age 79 of Bloomington, MN, passed away on Christmas morning. Jack passed peacefully surrounded by the love and strength of his daughter and son. Born in Florence, South Carolina, Jack served in the US Army for 23 years. After eloping to marry the love of his life, Babs, they traveled the world together with their two children Mary and Jack. He is preceded in death by his mother Margarite Gregg; father Blackwell Gregg and wife of 56 years Barbara Gregg. He is survived by his brother Jimmy Gregg; loving son Jack Gregg; devoted daughter Mary LaMere and supportive son-in-law Art LaMere. He is also survived by his grandchildren Terry (Stacay), Ryan (Annie), Adam (Renee) LaMere; Kristen, Jennifer Kelly, and John Gregg; his great- grandchildren Isabella, Nolan and Natalie LaMere; and many nieces and nephews. Jack led a wonderful life full of adventures from the mountains of Switzerland to the hot springs of Arkansas. He always had a story to tell and a laugh to share. Jack was full of spirit and fight, and fought until the very end. Jeannean Gallagher Hartl, Beloved sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully in her home in Costa Mesa, CA on December 22, 2009 at the age of 85. Jeannean was born on November 27, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN., and was the youngest of thirteen children. She graduated from West High in 1943. She married the love of her life, John James Hartl on June 26, 1952. They relocated to Southern California in 1955 after the death of their firstborn son, Kelly. Jeannean was smart, generous, loving and loyal and had a wicked sense of humor. She had a flair for the arts and a strong sense of design. She adored her husband and children, family and friends and was never happier than when they were all together, sitting around a table and laughing. Jeannean is preceded in death by her parents; 11 of her siblings; her son, Kelly and her husband, John. She leaves behind her daughter, Tracy (Mike) Lang; her son, Cole (Mary) Hartl; her sister, Helen Colton and many treasured nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 5801 Lyndale S., Minneapolis, MN.
