Gordon Theodore Pinske “Gordy,” age 90, a 53 year resident of Bloomington on March 30, 2010. Born November 7, 1919 in Glencoe, MN, WWII Army Veteran and self-employed truck driver for 43 years. Preceded in death by wife of 53 years, Margaret and sons, Scott and Michael. Survived by daughters, Deborah Pinske and Kimberly Pinske; granddaughter, Julianna; brother, Ray; sisters, Lorna, Gert and Mertle. James W. Carey “Bill”

James William “Bill” Carey, age 83 passed away peacefully March 28, 2010 with his children and family by his side. Bill married Joyce Ball on September 6, 1947. Bill was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 18, 1927 to Howard and Loretta Carey. He was one of four children. Prior to marrying, he was in the U.S. Navy, later went on to sales and owing his own water softener business, Aqua Queen. He also had a partnership with his oldest brother, Patrick Carey in a business named Creative Products. Bill lived in the Minneapolis area for many years then moved with his beloved wife of almost 60 years to Robbinsdale. He was a very loving, compassionate and devoted husband; loving father and grandfather and a loyal friend. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; hunting, fishing and other outdoor sport activities. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce. He is survived by his four children, William T. Carey, Mark J. Carey (Sara Cruz Carey), Marsha H. Nagengast and Michael P. Carey (Tracy C. Carey.) James is also survived by six grandchildren, Bryan D. Carey (Nanci J. Carey), Brett W. Carey, Sabrina Carey Silva Garcia (Eduardo Silva Garcia), Colin A. Nagengast (Mary Ann Nagengast), Nicole L. Carey and Shannon L. Carey. He also has eleven great-grandchildren, Spencer D. Carey, Sawyer R. Carey, Sylvia J. Carey, Slaytor W. Carey, Syrus A. Carey, Salinger Carey, Amanda R. Carey, Nathan W. Carey, Jacquelyn A. Carey, Meloney A. Carey and Regina Carey Silva Garcia; great-great-grandson, Rieder Lommis; siblings, Patrick H. Carey, Mary Madlyn Pallesen and John T. Carey. William “Bill” Berge

Berge, William “Bill” Age 77, of Dent, MN, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the Pioneer Care Center, Fergus Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2010, beginning at 11:00 am in St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Bloomington, MN, with Father Bernie Zajdel officiating. Burial will take place in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Bill was born July 8, 1932, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Clifford and Helen (Bisek) Berge. He enlisted with the US Army after graduating high school and then worked for Naegele Outdoor Advertising as a sheet metal worker. Bill retired to the Dent, MN, area where he enjoyed the wildlife, golfing, fishing, hunting and sports. Bill is survived by a brother, Frank Berge, Bloomington, MN; two sisters, Catherine Elwell, Ham Lake, MN; and Mary (Robert) Bredt, Edina, MN; special cousins, Clarence and Mary Bisek, Fergus Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Bill in death are his parents and a brother, Richard Berge.

Mary Getchell Hazlett, age 77; died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 24, 2010. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Ottilia Getchell; sister, Barbara Morgan; brother-in-law, Hal Turner and daughter-in-law, Patty. Survived by husband of 58 years, James; children, John (Molly), Kevin (Julia), Susan (Bruce), Bart (Sang), Bret, Marcia (Gary) and Sally. Also survived by grandchildren, Emily (Jesse), Kevin and Sarah; Evan and Rachel; Zoe, Jude, Olivia and Roan; James and Lucy; Izzy and Sam; sister-in-law, Judy Turner; nieces, Mary and Martha; nephew, Michael; and of course many, many special friends. The entire Hazlett family would like to thank the staff at Methodist Hospital during all of Mary’s many visits and the Hospice nurses who helped us through these final days. Age 65, of Minneapolis, passed away 3/24/10. Preceded in death by father, Donald; and infant sister, Janet. Elmer Leonard Albert Koepke, age 88 of Bloomington, born October 16, 1921 in North St. Paul, died February 23, 2010 in Silver Bay, MN. Elmer was an Army Staff Sergeant during WWII, worked at Rayette Fabrege as a Tool & Die Maker for 42 years and married Helen L. Anderson on July 27, 1927. Preceded in death by wife, Helen and four siblings. Survived by daughters, Janice (Alan) Ringer and Jean Carryl; son, John (Carol) Koepke; grandchildren, Katie Ringer and Carson Koepke; niece, Carol Dunlap; nephew, Larry Koepke and sister-in-law, Virginia Koepke. Stanley Ellsworth “Stan” Jensen, age 84, of Eden Prairie. Born June 3, 1925 Sunrise, MN and died March 23, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Carl W. and Elna; and brother, Carl W., Jr. Survived by loving wife, Vinette Evelyn; sons, Craig (Peggy) and Lyle (Pamela); granddaughters, Laura (Evan) Jacobs and Sarah; sisters, Caroline Bolema, Yvonne Chan and Ione (Paul) Trap; as well as many nieces and nephews.
